DNA (Deoxyribonucleic acid) is a structure made up of units called deoxyribonucleotides. Each of these nucleotides contains one of the bases adenine, guanine, cytosine or thymine (A, G, C or T). DNA is usually found in a double stranded form, here the bases pair up; A:T and G:C. DNA is found in the nucleus of the cell packaged into chromosomes.
